MTSA Technopower receives Pearl award for working on the transition to a sustainable future
Loek van Veggel, CEO of MTSA Technopower received the Lifeport pearl award on Thursday 16 June from the mayor of the municipality of Arnhem, also chairman of The Economic Board, Ahmed Marcouch and Rijn Platteel, director of The Economic Board. MTSA develops and builds customer-specific cleantech equipment, systems and machines. In this way the company works on the energy transition every day, with cleantech equipment and hydrogen solutions. For The Economic Board a reason to present the Pearl of Lifeport to MTSA.
For years MTSA has worked on technology based on oil and gas, but slowly changed course. “About ten years ago, we started to focus more and more on equipment with cleantech and hydrogen technology. In the same world, but with completely different processes,” says Loek van Veggel CEO MTSA. “Hydrogen is interesting as a medium to store and use green energy at the times when there is no sun and wind.”
“MTSA has been present for years as an innovative and agile player in the international technology and energy market. But the company has not forgotten its Arnhem roots and works a lot with parties from the city,” says Rijn Platteel, director of The Economic Board. Mayor Ahmed Marcouch is also proud: “From Arnhem, MTSA helps the whole world with environmental technical solutions. Right through all the crises and other setbacks, honestly deserved! Our students are sitting on roses with such a versatile innovative company in our city that comes up with solutions for everything and has all the execution in one hand if necessary. Thanks to their skilled and ingenious employees, especially when it comes down to it. Good choice of the jury; pearl winners, good luck with all the good work!’
Loek van Veggel is also very happy with the Parel award. “I’m quite proud of that. It’s a clear sign that your business is valued, while our customers and ultimately society benefit from the clean technology we develop with them. So it’s really a win-win situation.”
